Re: servo systems
We discontinued the older DC brushed servo systems over 16 months ago. We have a new BLDC Clearpath based servo system with a choice of motors that we have working and in the process of putting online. its often hard to justify the huge price increase for servos versus the benefits expecially in the plasma world. For that reason when offered a choice, 95% choose a modern stepper based system . There are some things about a servo system that need to be acknowledged. They are lots more complex with lots more parts that can go wrong and they can be expensive to fix. They have to be "tuned " to a load and that requires the end user to be involved by using a USB software program on each motor/driver .
The new system will be up in the catalog before the end of the year along with our new "No-stall" spindle speed for commercial router and the new wireless wifi tablet based Remote console . Due to a shortage of critical chips we are faced with having to redesign several of our modules before we run out of inventory. That has taken a lot of our cycles and will continue to for several more months..

Re: servo systems
I have the 850 in oz DC servo motors and what I have read regarding the new motors is that they have more power. My gantry is now quite heavy so more is better. When are we looking at getting this to market. I am interested

Re: servo systems
Just another reminder how's progress. I have the previous version of the servo motors 850oz/in, so what would be the next step up power wise with the clearpath servos. Just saying still interested
